More About Us
About the Bay Area Club...
The Bay Area Club, Inc. (BAC,Club) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide meeting facilities for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), AI-Anon Family Groups (AFG), Alateen and other 12-Step programs.

The Bay Area Club is not part of Alcoholics Anonymous or Al-Anon Family Groups:
The Club was established in April of 1990 in response to a need for a facility to provide 12-Step Recovery Groups a place for meetings and for sober activities. Having a regular meeting place and a place for fellowship is critical for individual members of AA, AI-Anon, Alateen and others to achieve and maintain sobriety. In addition to meeting facilities, the Club also provides refreshments, sober activities and a 12-Step recovery book store. All proceeds from the bookstore are used to cover operating expenses.

Supporting the Bay Area Club Provides a Community Service
The goal of the Bay Area Club is to meet the growing needs of Alcoholics Anonymous, AI-Anon, Alateen and others who choose to take the 12 steps of recovery to a renewed and happy life. We provide a valuable service to the communities of League City, Clear Lake, Galveston and Harris Counties, and the entire Bay Area. Our operations have been self-supporting, through membership and community contributions since 1990; we receive no governmental assistance, and we are not a United Way agency. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Receipts for donations are available upon request; see one of the Officers or Trustees, or the address and telephone number above.
